Orlando Science Center

Jon was at the ACSI Convention all day today so I decided to make use of our annual science center pass and we headed out to the Orlando Science Center.  I was a bit concerned the museum would be a bit too old for the kids (and perhaps intellectually challenging for myself looking back on old science classes, even though I am an engineer!) but we had a great time and spent about 4 hours exploring this 4-story center.  There were several exhibits suitable for young children - we took in a music class and watched the Sting Ray feeding.  Emerson's favourite was the water station where you can learn how water currents work and make difference courses for the boats - or just get as wet as you possibly can before your mom tells you to stop splahing.  Avalynn's favourite was the All Aboard room where she loved climbing in the airplane and the trains.

We finished off our night with a meal out at Bahama Breeze restaurant and early to bed for all! Jon has another busy day tomorrow at the convention.

Emerson at the entrance to the Bug exhibit (note Simba in his hand from last night's visit to Downtown Disney)

Avalynn intent on standing on the "low" side of the waterway exhibit, even though I kept showing her the stool she could stand up on... my little independent spirit!

At first I though these were ornamental statues they were so still, but I realized they were real when they started moving!

Prepare for take-off!
